Aaliyah - I Miss You

As of today it will be 10 years since American, R&B singer, Aaliyah Dana Haughton past away. Even now I can’t believe she is gone from this earth. I will never forget the day when I found out about this terrible tragedy. It all started when I went to Wal-Mart with my mom I was so happy because I finally had enough money to buy Aaliyah latest album Aaliyah (which became her last). Upon purchasing the CD, the cashier noticed I had a bought an her CD. He shockingly informed me that Aaliyah had died from a plane crash.

Of course I was like no freaking way. Quickly went home and got on my computer to check to see if this was true or not. Surely enough he was right. Aaliyah was gone. I cried all night while listening to the her CD that I purchased only some hours ago. It felt like I lost my best friend.

About 2 years after her death, My cousin, brother, and I went to the mall to do our own Christmas shopping. I walked past a Urban store right in the window was a sweater of a airbrushed picture of a Aaliyah on it. It so real. At that very moment I near I wanted. I ended up spending half of my Christmas money buying that sweater. My dad was almost about to take it back, but luck was on my side. Aaliyah was one who inspired to become a singer. I truly do miss her. Love you, Baby Girl <3
